Progress report

To be honest, nothing much has changed in the last month ... which is fantastic because I'm about halfway through the next book and progress has been steady. Things are a bit slower than I'd like regardless because I'm working on two projects simultaneously. Book 5 is one, and the other is the start of a new series. I don't YET have dates for when the next few books will be out, but I HOPE to have them both out by the end of September. Progress is also proceeding on book 4's audio (still being narrated by the incomparable Tess Irondale) so watch out for that in early October. I'd say September, but Audible takes a month to publish anything even after all the work's been done and it's submitted to the store, so I REALLY can't give any dates out on that. One of you guys asked about my Send Me An Angel project, and given the results of the beta read on that, I've shelved it for now. Not only does it need a new cover, but it probably needs to

YES, the title changed.

Long story very short: trademark trolls. Title wasn't the same.  Genre wasn't the same. Prior use all over the place ... but some people have a vested interest. I will not publicize this because quite frankly, the less time I have to spend dealing with this the better, but I felt at the very least there ought to be some word for those of you who haven't been following the drama in other channels. Could I have fought to keep my original title? Yes, yes I could have. Why didn't I? Math. One has to know when to hold em, and when to fold em.The time and money I'd have spent on it would have outstripped any possible fiscal return, and since this is only one book title rather than the name of the series, it doesn't really impact my branding. Nothing about the story or its contents has changed, other than the title. God Willing, this is the last I'll have to hear of or deal with this sort of nonsense.

There may or may not be swear words in this post. You've been warned.

(UPDATE: Was able to get my account back. Doesn't make me any less annoyed this happened ((particularly just a few days after the launch of a book)) but yeah, I was able to prove I am who I say I am. Go team.) Fuckerberg is messing with me. Let me splain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up: I still have full time employment with a company that has granted me - as part of my job duties - access to equipment that processes BILLIONS of dollars worth in business. Each day. My trustworthiness and squeaky clean record (I used to hold the highest clearance this country grants to its military) is preeeeeetty much as important if not MORE important than my actual skills doing the job - which after twenty years are pretty fckin' magical if I do say so myself. So they wouldn't take it very well if they found out I was writing harem-lit as a side-hustle. All that to say I cannot reveal my name in a public forum. Which Facebook is. Thus I write and post under Cebelius

Soon my precious

Book 4 will release in June. I'm aiming for the 15th, but it all depends on the speed of the editor. Thank you for your patience. That is all.

Yes, I suck at updates.

A man can't be good at everything. I sent word to my list (you should join if you haven't, I suck slightly less at getting emails out every so often) but realized after a comment here pointed out it'd been 3 months since I said anything that, yes, it may seem I've been idle. In fact, I have not been idle. I got divorced. Everything slowed down after that for a while. I won't belabor the point other than to say when life really, truly sucks, it's hard to be an entertainer. I am making progress on book 4 and working on three other projects, at least one of which will go under a different pen name. (don't ask me to reveal it I'll tell you why in a few.) One of the other projects is on hold because I'm working out a few systemic issues with the world and the main character. That one is a superhero harem, and I do intend to get it polished and finish writing it sometime this year. Another of the projects is the start of a second series in the

Audio books and the next project on the horizon

Power of the Lost is out. Very likely if you're reading this you already know that, so I won't belabor the point. Book 2 is currently in the hands of the audio engineer, after which it will come to me for final review. I am hoping it will be live first week of February. Book 3 (yes, the one that just launched) is currently being recorded. Miss Irondale is on board for the series, and I know from the reviews I am not the only one thrilled to have her support for his project. It is likely the audio book for Power of the Lost will be live by the end of February. Send Me an Angel is book 1 of the Divine Koan, and that will be going to beta this week while I wait for a cover. Once I have it, and it's edited and polished, I'll throw it up on Amazon. Very briefly, it is a non-harem litRPG with a rough rating limit of hard R. So if that's what you're into, rejoice. :P I know the market is saturated with other litRPG titles, but this is the one I was working on w

TL:DR Book 2 audio begins recording 1/3, next book in the queue is NOT CC book 4.

So here's where I cop to being pretty shit at keeping up with all the various avenues of social media. Here's the update in a bit more detail: Finished a final pass on Rod of the Heart and forwarded it to Miss Irondale today. Her estimated start date right now is 1/3, so for those of you who are looking forward to the audio of book 2, one step closer. :) Also did more work on book 3. Should be finishing the draft for that in the next week or so, then it's for beta reading and editing. Now, some of the people I speak with regularly know this, but I figure it's time to go ahead and put it out there. My next book after Power of the Lost will NOT be book 4 in the Celestine Chronicles. Don't panic, my plans for that series still run to six books total, and I WILL finish the series absent some kind of brain damage or D&D (Death and Dismemberment). That said, the second half of CC is going to have a bit of a tonal shift, as Terry goes from being th
